Arsenal and Tottenham head into the North London derby on Saturday lunchtime in very contrasting moods.
The Gunners are coming off the back of a resounding 5-1 win over Bournemouth midweek while Spurs slumped to a 2-0 loss at Chelsea which all but ended their hopes of winning the title.
Unai Emery does have some fitness concerns heading into the encounter. Captain Laurent Koscielny picked up a knock to his knee during the win over the Cherries but he has returned to full training today.
Sead Kolasinac is carrying a muscular injury which forced him off yesterday, but he is expected to be fit to face Tottenham.
Granit Xhaka was missing from the squad against Bournemouth, but Emery confirmed after the match that the Swiss international was simply being rested and will return on Saturday.
Stephan Lichtsteiner was also not included in the eighteen for the match last night due to a back problem. He could, however, be back for the Spurs clash.
Rob Holding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Hector Bellerin (knee) are all long-term absentees.
For Tottenham, manager Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful that defender Jan Vertonghen will recover in time from a hip injury. The Belgian missed out on the defeat to Chelsea.
Eric Dier (illness) and Dele Alli (hamstring) are unlikely to return for the derby.
Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Tottenham:
