The brother of the New Jersey man who was found dead — along with his wife and kids — in a mansion inferno has been charged with their murders, according to a report Thursday.
Paul Caneiro, 51, faces four counts of murder in connection with the deaths of his 50-year-old brother, Keith, 45-year-old sister-in-law, Jennifer, and his nephew, Jesse, 11, and niece, Sophia, 8, who were found dead last week in their Colts Neck home, which was then set on fire, NJ.com reported.
The charges come more than a week after Keith was found dead on the lawn of his home, his body riddled with gunshot wounds. The charred remains of Jennifer and the children were discovered inside the multimillion-dollar home.
Caneiro had previously been charged with arson for setting fire to his own home in Ocean Township with his wife and two daughters inside. No one was injured in that blaze, which broke out hours before the one in Colts Neck.
Prosecutors so far have been mum on a motive — but are set to announce the fresh set of charges against Caneiro at a press conference later Thursday morning.
Caneiro’s lawyer has said he’s innocent of all charges.
“He fully expects to be vindicated,” Robert Honecker previously told The Post.
Honecker couldn’t be reached Thursday.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office had no comment.
