Ex-Arsenal star Chamberlain is ‘cursed’ – Liverpool fans
Liverpool fans are convinced former Arsenal man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has brought ‘curse’ from the Emirates to Anfield after suffering their second defeat in four games since his arrival from the Emirates stadium.
Klopp’s men bad run began with a 5-0 thumping away at Manchester City, before a frustrating draw with Sevilla in the Europa League and a draw at home to Burnley in the English top flight.
Since Oxlade-Chamberlain completed a £35million move from Arsenal to Liverpool this summer, the Gunners are yet to lose and Klopp’s men are yet to win
The Reds who have lost two and drawn two in their last three fixture after that 4-0 mauling of the Gunners will have to wait until this weekend to see if they can end their dismal run following the 2-0 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in a League Cup fixture on Tuesday.
Shinji Okazaki came on as a second-half substitute to put the Foxes into the lead against the run of play after the Reds had dominated the opening period at the King Power Stadium.
The strike served to galvanise the home side – and they made certain of their place in the next round when Islam Slimani powered an unstoppable effort into the top corner as the clash ticked towards its finale, ending Jürgen Klopp’s side’s tournament hopes in the process.
